About Canopy Inventory
See how many weeks of stock each product has left, when it runs out, and what to reorder.
Canopy Inventory is a Shopify app by Belvia London Ltd. It is not related to other software called Canopy. It is read-only and is coming soon to the Shopify App Store.
Who builds it

Andrew Simpson is the founder of Canopy Inventory and designs the app, decides what it calculates and checks every guide on this site.
Why it was built
Canopy Inventory was built for, and is used daily by, a UK Shopify brand. The questions that matter every week are simple: how long will each product last, when does it need reordering, how many should we buy, and how much cash will that take? Shopify shows how many units you have and, in its inventory reports, roughly how many days they will last. It does not say when to reorder, how many to buy or what that will cost.
Canopy answers those questions for every SKU:
- Weeks of cover: how long your stock lasts at your current sales rate.
- The date each SKU is likely to run out, and the date to reorder by.
- A suggested buy quantity, rounded up to your pack size, then raised to your minimum order if lower.
- The cash that buy needs, at your Shopify cost per item.
It reads from Shopify and never writes to your store. See how it works, or the full rules on how Canopy Inventory calculates.
How we write
Our guides are drafted with AI help and checked by Andrew before they are published. The calculations the app makes are documented in full on how Canopy Inventory calculates, so you can check any number yourself. If you spot a mistake, please tell us and we will correct it.
